ColorPickerCaptain Support
ColorPickerCaptain samples pixels from a capture of the visible Safari tab. It shows HEX and RGB values and lets you copy them.
Get started
- Install ColorPickerCaptain, then enable its Safari extension in Safari Settings on Mac or Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions on iPhone or iPad.
- Open the page you want to inspect and start the picker from the Safari extensions menu. Allow access if Safari asks.
- Tap or click a pixel in the captured visible area. Copy its HEX or RGB value; on Mac, arrow keys can fine-tune the selection.
What to expect
The picker samples the visible tab at the moment of capture, including visible images and page elements. It does not capture an entire scrolling page or inspect pixels hidden outside the viewport.
Permissions and privacy
Safari may ask for access to the active tab so the extension can capture its visible pixels. You control this access in Safari's extension settings.
