CopyCaptain Support
CopyCaptain restores normal text selection on supported pages whose CSS interferes with ordinary selection. You then use Safari's own Copy action.
Get started
- Install CopyCaptain, then enable its Safari extension in Safari Settings on Mac or Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions on iPhone or iPad.
- Open a supported webpage and choose Open on this page from the Safari extensions menu.
- Select the text with Safari's normal controls and copy it. If you choose Remember this site, Safari asks for site-specific access and the preference is saved locally.
What to expect
CopyCaptain cannot guarantee selection on every site. It does not bypass login or paywalls, reveal inaccessible content, or extract text from images or PDFs. Copy only content you are allowed to use.
Permissions and privacy
Safari may ask for access to the current page or a remembered site to let the extension restore text selection. You control or revoke this access in Safari's extension settings.
