Safari Tab Groups and domain groups solve different problems
Safari lets you create a Tab Group from the tabs in the current window or start with an empty group. A named group is useful for a stable project, trip or recurring area of work. You decide which tabs belong and can move tabs between groups.
A domain-grouped view answers a different question: which websites are using the current tab set? It is generated from the open tabs, so it is useful for auditing clutter without first designing a filing system.
Use website groups as a cleanup map
TabCaptain shows a website group with its tabs together. Expand the busiest domains, search within the overall list and open the page you need. Viewing tabs by domain, opening a tab and closing a single tab are included free.
Lifetime Premium adds group actions such as closing or reloading a site group. Use these only after reviewing the pages inside the group; pages from one domain can still represent unrelated tasks.
Choose the right kind of group
Use Safari Tab Groups when membership should persist as a named collection. Use domain grouping when you need an immediate structural view of what is open. Use a TabCaptain custom work group when you want an app-managed work collection; custom work groups are Premium.
