Inventory before cleanup
A crowded tab bar hides titles and encourages opening the same page again. Start with an inventory: search for the immediate task, group by domain and note websites with unexpectedly high counts. This reveals structure without changing the live workspace.

Separate references from workspaces

Do not save every piece of clutter as a session. Remove obvious duplicates and disposable navigation pages first so the restored workspace will remain understandable.
